Project Runway Video

I made a fun little video to document my Project Runway moment earlier this month. I was asked to come up with 3 home decor pieces in 3 days using sheets of Duck Tape and the Cricut cutter. I was them to show them at the Duck Tape Pop-Up Shop in Manhattan alongside this season's Project Runway contestant's and their Duck Tape Prom Dresses. It was a fun and fabulous day with favorites like the winner of this season's Project Runway Michelle Franklin, Seventeen Magazine, and more. Check out the video and see what I came up with in the short time-frame and the challenging rules.

Embroidery Hoop Parade

I am pleased and proud to have been asked to be a part of the launch of Well Rounded NY, the urban blog for cool moms. Knowing that expectant mothers and parents of little kids don't have two minutes to rub together, I came up with a DIY Embroidery Hoop Animal Parade that is so quick and easy, it fits into the even-a-pregnant-mom-of-a-toddler-could-find-time-to-make-it category. Make just one for your favorite tyke or create a statement wall hanging several of them in a cluster at different lengths.

Save Happy Endings

Happy Endings is my favorite show and stars my favorite girl, Casey Wilson. Sadly, short-sighted ABC just cancelled the hilarious and perfectly twisted gem, but USA is in talks of picking it up. If you are a fan, NOW is the time to tell them to DOOOO IIIIT! Post on USA's Facebook wall and Twitter telling them to #SaveHappyEndings. Show them that the hoards of loyal Happy Endings fans will follow the incredible show right on over to their channel.

On the Homefront

I've been dealing with a pretty big and very personal family situation at the moment. Thus, the radio silence last week and the lull in videos as of late. I will be taking a month-long break from my posts over on CRAFT and the frequency on Nest may be a little slower during the month of May while I deal with this incredibly personal situation. Please forgive my vagueness, and any disruption to publication flow during this time.

Everything will resume and be back better than ever before you can even say JUNE! During this hard time for my family, some pretty big and exciting things are brewing for me career-wise, because you know, when it rains IT POURS. Stay tuned for exciting developments that will be evolving while my family deals, heals, and handles our business.
